Santa's Overtime
Ho Ho Ho...
Apparently, Santa has extended his duty into February and sent down the Royal Mail chimney some goodies for a sickly reindeer:
...Haliborange Vit C 1000 mg mak datuk ( mama grandpapa-denoting infinite awe) strength.
...Beechams Max strength sore throat relief, with lemon and honey.
...Day & Night Nurse for colds and flu capsules, contains paracetamol.
...get well soon card, simple not much on but lilac subdued matted colour with a daisy.
...forever friend little teddy.
...The Jane Austen Book Club - Karen Joy Fowler
... wooden book mark.
Santa, you are indeed very thoughtful and my thank yous will never match your kindness, on the imaginary sliding scale. My getting better probably, would have been speedier had I not done today's on call and exempted from doing tomorrow's.
However, they say it's all in the mind, so I will imagine tucked in bed in my pyjamas, with the little teddy, sucking the lozenges. On the bedside chest, a hot mug of lemsip with the fizzing Vitamin C, and assimilate myself into the, The Jane Austen Book Club paperback. All that, while ramming in those needles, tubes, wires and doing other whatnots tomorrow.
For now I will try and get my red nose to it's original colour. Sylvia said the colour suits me. Hmmmpphh.
Aaaaaaaachoommmm!! (Should have bought the buy one get one free twin pack Kleenex).
